Goldfish and Cactus (A Pasta Inspiration)

While watching Pasta, I was inspired to get a pet goldfish. Mainly because that is the nickname Chef gives Seo Yoo Kyung. I found it endearing. I wish I had a cool nickname like that.

That and I have always kind of wanted a pet fish. So I found one. A great one too!

I also wanted a cactus because of all of the Secret Admirer pictures Yoo Kyung received as well. So I did.
You may think it's a little odd to get this wrapped up in a series, but I couldn't help myself.
Did I mention that my ideal pet fish is battery operated? No feeding required! Let's get this party started.

I found this awesome cactus in the Las Vegas airport. You can get your own here.
I found the "goldfish" one morning at Cracker Barrel. It was on sale too. So I just couldn't pass it up. You can get your own here.
I was super excited to put my stuff together.... Pua however, was indifferent.
This is what the box looked like upon opening. I was excited that it came with a little Las Vegas sign.
First thing, dirt!
 Looks about right.....
Look at how cute they are! Awe. I must show Pua.
Pua could be ACTUALLY interested in my cacti!!!
Nope, still indifferent.
Finished product... Isn't it adorable?
My goldfish box when I opened it.
I poured all of the content out onto the floor like a kid at Christmas.
All I had to do was put the fake rocks in the bottom and fill it with water. Simple! Besides, if all else fails, the rocks made a great mustache.
Fill it up, fill it up, fill it up.
When I filled it up I just had to put the fish in!
The fish is on a clear wire and rotates on its own in a random fashion.
It just needs batteries! Wait I need a tool? Crap.
My brother to the rescue! He is super handy!! Thanks Adam.
Awe.... a goldfish and a cactus, what a beautiful pairing.
I very much enjoy things that require no skill to take care of. No watering and no feeding.... Now I need to get some water boiling.
All of a sudden I am craving some spaghetti.

I hope you all enjoyed my random post. If you have any questions let me know.

  1. haha I have never heard of battery operated fish.

    1. @Bianca,
All pets should come in either real or motorized versions. I know I wish that a lot when I clean Pua's litter.
