The Sites of Boys Over Flowers

Boy Over Flowers really showcases all of South Korea beautifully. Jun Pyo and Jan Di go just about everywhere you can imagine during the series. I was shocked by the beauty of every place they encountered and looked into the locations they visited.
Before I go any further, I have to tell you that you can book a tour of the locations of BOF. Yup, scouts honor, it exists! It seems petty reasonable too. If you are heading to South Korea and Seoul then I would tell you definitely check it out. I want to tour the Boys Over Flower locations!

 Jun Pyo's Home
Jun Pyo's posh estate is actually a country club. The Damyung Dynasty Country Club is a stunning place. Jun Pyo's wealth comes across instantaneously within it's Baroque-feeling interiors.

Book a stay yourself:
 Hwadong-ri San 79, Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun region, Jeollanam-do province

Shinhwa High School
The home of the F4 and where our characters meet for the first time is a little complicated. In total four locations were used. The main setting was in Keimyung University.
They used 2 different campuses within the school itself. To give the school a more regal look overall. I do believe they succeeded. Just look at those grounds.

Seongseo Campus
Go on a virtual tour or give them a call. They are English-speaking and nice.
1000 Sinsang-dong, Dalseo-gu district, Daegu city

Daemyeong Campus
 2139 Daemyeong-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu city

Gyeonggi English Village
The settings for all the school hallways and most of the exterior scenes of Jan Di walking were shot in Gyenggi English Village. If the second picture looks familiar it is because, that is the F4's private study. Oooooh. You're impressed I can tell.
Damun-ri San 25, Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun region, Gyeonngi-do province

Artinus Farmers Table
The site where all the students from Shinhwa ate their expensive lunches and Jan Di stunk the place up with her homemade lunch is a beautiful restaurant. I could only find small pictures fromt he location itself. I did find the address and website though!

Heyri Artinus 1F, 1652-393 Beopheung-ri, Tanhyeon-myeon region, Paju town, Gyeonggi-do province

Ji Hoo's House
Ji Hoo lives in an extraordinary home. If it looks familiar to you then you probably are a fan of Queen Seondeok which is set there too. Shilla Millenium park is a theme park where the center of the park is based on traditional Korean Silla architecture.

Shilla Millenium Park
719-70 Sinpyeong-dong, Gyeongju city, Gyeongsangbuk-do province

Shopping Locals
The F4 have to look good. So does Jan Di if she is going to be seen with them. The boys go shopping a couple of times in the series and a real department store was used for the filming. The department store boast 15 floors and the top floor is a school. Crazy.

Shinsegae Department Store
 52-5 Chungmuru 1(il)-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul

The Tower
The infamous location where Jun Pyo waits in the freezing cold for a Jan Di who shows up too late. It is the real North Seoul Tower. Next door is the Grand Hyatt where the couple rode the cart and get stuck all night long.

North Seoul Tower & Grand Hyatt Hotel
747-7 Hannam 2(i)-dong, Yongsan-gu district, Seoul
The couple and the entire F4 visited some amazing locations. New Caledonia was the first vacation trip Jan Di ever went on. It is also where she learns from the fortune teller that she has a soul-mate and a future husband.  New Caledonia is just off the coast of Australia. (See the map below)

New Caledonia

Macau Venetian hotel
This location is my favorite that the show visted. It was gorgeous and romantic. A great place for Jun Pyo to rethink his entire relationship. I looked into it, and to stay at this swanky resort is $2300.00 a night.... you know if I wanted the best and all.

Find out all the info you need on the site. Book a room too. Just don't forget to invite me.

That's all folks. According to all the information I could find, these sites are still very popular for fans of the show to visit. I plan to visit them around the same time the Winter Olympics are there. With my budgeting I may be able to pull it off.... Maybe.

If you have any questions or if you want to just chat, please leave a comment. I love comments.

  1. This is so nice and interesting. I did not know they offered tours for these. The only location that seems familiar is The Venetian. It looks just like the one in Las Vegas. I have good memories from there (The Venetian).

One of the reasons your post is so great is because the locations and scenery of where the drama was shot, was one of the things that made me like the Korean Dramas. Thank you for the information. It would be so nice to have the ability/opportunity to visit all these place.

    1. I agree. I am planning a trip sometime in the future. Prices are pretty reasonable. Except for the Venetian. That's pretty pricey. HAHAHAHA

  2. I am in awe! I became a fan of the series right off the bat, and reading your very informative post felt like i was vicariously traveling with them...all over again. Jun Pyo's home is jawdropping! Thankyou for an interesting read! Made me want to see these places...for real! :)
